  • A regulated payment processor — who handles subscription payments for business directory listings. We do not store your card details.

All third-party providers are bound by data processing agreements and are required to handle your data securely and in accordance with UK GDPR.

5. Public Information

Accommodation listings and business directory entries are publicly visible on Pravasi. This means the contact details you provide in a listing (name, phone number, WhatsApp number) will be visible to all visitors to the site. Only submit contact details you are happy to make public.

6. User-Generated Content and Third-Party Links

Pravasi is a platform provider. We provide the technology that allows users to post accommodation listings, and we display job listings that link to third-party websites such as LinkedIn and Indeed. We do not create, verify, or control this content.

Accommodation listings are posted entirely by members of the public — individual landlords, homeowners, or tenants with spare rooms. Pravasi is not a letting agent and has no involvement in any tenancy arrangement. We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or safety of any accommodation listing. Any contact details included in a listing are provided voluntarily by the person who posted it.

Job listings link directly to external platforms (such as LinkedIn, Indeed, or employer websites). Pravasi does not post, verify, or manage these jobs and is not responsible for their content or availability.

Pravasi processes personal data submitted in listings (such as contact details) solely to display that listing on the platform. We do not use this data for any other purpose. Where a listing is removed, associated personal data is deleted in accordance with our retention periods set out in Section 7.

If you believe any listing contains false, harmful, or unlawful content, please report it to hello@pravasi.uk and we will investigate promptly.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

  • Account data — for as long as your account is active, plus 12 months after deletion
  • Accommodation listings — until you delete them or your account is closed
  • Business directory listings — for the duration of the subscription plus 6 months
  • Payment records — 7 years (required by UK law for accounting purposes)

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — ask us to delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict how we use your data
  • Portability — receive your data in a portable format
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@pravasi.uk. We will respond within 30 days.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the ICO at ico.org.uk.

9. Cookies

Pravasi uses two types of cookies:

Essential cookies — required for the site to function (for example, to keep you signed in). These are always active and cannot be switched off, as the site cannot work properly without them.

Analytics cookies— we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use Pravasi (for example, which pages are popular) so we can improve the platform. These cookies are only set if you give consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit, and you can withdraw consent at any time using the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer. We also use Vercel Analytics, a privacy-friendly service that does not use cookies or collect personal data.

We do not use advertising or marketing cookies. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though disabling essential cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the site.

10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text.

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. If you become aware of a security issue, please contact us immediately at hello@pravasi.uk.

11. Children

Pravasi is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. International Data Transfers

Some of our trusted service providers may process your personal data outside the United Kingdom or European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place — including standard contractual clauses approved by the ICO — to protect your data to the same standard required by UK GDPR.

By using Pravasi you consent to your data being transferred and processed in accordance with this policy.

13. Data Breaches

In the event of a personal data breach that is likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, Pravasi Ltd will notify the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach, as required by UK GDPR.

If the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you personally, we will also notify you directly without undue delay, explaining what happened, what data was affected, and what steps we are taking.

If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@pravasi.uk.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
